# Inbound Receiving

### Overview

Inbound Receiving transforms the most chaotic part of warehouse operations — intake — into a structured, traceable process. Every shipment is logged, verified, and organized the moment it arrives, ensuring complete visibility from day one. By standardizing how products enter the warehouse, the WMS eliminates discrepancies at the source and builds trust that inventory is accurate before it ever reaches fulfillment.

### How It Works

Inbound Receiving starts in the Receiving section of the WMS, where the receiver inputs the receiving order ID. This ID is generated automatically whenever a Warehouse Receiving Order (WRO) is created in the system. In a brand WMS setup, staff can retrieve it directly from the platform. In a 3PL setup, the shopper creates the WRO and provides the file to their distributor, who must print and apply it to the shipment so the warehouse has the correct documentation at intake.

Once identified, the shipment is assigned to a receiving lane to keep intake organized. If the delivery includes a new product, the WMS requires the receiver to capture its weight and dimensions before proceeding. For existing products, this step is skipped.

At this stage, the system generates a receiving invoice, which must be reviewed and approved by a manager before billing the shopper.

A wide range of filters makes it easy to focus on the right data. Options include filtering by brand, product age (from newest to oldest), or Shopify-synced tags, with a quick search bar for instant lookups.

The process begins at the product level. A manager selects a specific product within the Inventory Manager to review or update its stock details. From there, virtual bins can be created to represent the physical bins or pallets where that product will be stored.&#x20;

Locations can be fully customized to match a warehouse’s own logic, but they work best when created in a structured location format. ### How It Works

From the Cycle Count dashboard, managers can view all pending and completed counts along with key details such as product ID, location, initial recorded quantity, and the operator assigned to the task. New counts can be created directly from this dashboard by selecting the product to be verified, assigning an operator (either immediately or later), and choosing the warehouse and locations to be included.

When an operator begins a cycle count, they first scan the container’s QR label to confirm they are at the correct location. They then scan each individual unit until the count is complete. As soon as the process is finished, the system updates the product’s inventory in real time and records the time spent on the task.

By consolidating stock into shared containers, warehouses can maximize capacity, eliminate wasted space, and stay fully accurate in how inventory is tracked and managed.

### How It Works

Before using Multi-SKU, the feature must be enabled in the shopper SLA settings. Once active, managers can configure it directly in the Inventory Manager by selecting a specific item and opening its container settings. From there, a dedicated menu allows additional inventory to be added into the same container by searching and selecting the items required. Multiple items can be assigned in one step, and once the configuration is saved, the container is flagged as Multi-SKU. From that point forward, any of the items assigned to that container will display the shared container setup, giving full visibility into exactly what stock is stored together at the container level.

With full transparency into each order’s history, the dashboard turns complexity into clarity, ensuring orders move smoothly from creation to fulfillment.

### How It Works

The Order Dashboard displays every order flowing through the warehouse, with extensive filtering options to surface exactly what you need. Orders can be filtered by status (pending, in progress, shipped, delivered, backordered, on hold, exception), by attributes like creation date, warehouse, product, or tags, and many others. To save time, commonly used filters can be stored as predefined views, giving managers and operators one-click access to the information most relevant to their workflow.

The dashboard supports all order types, including returns, receiving, commercial, direct-to-consumer, and transfers. With multi-select, users can perform bulk actions such as canceling, splitting backorders for partial shipments (with shopper or internal approval), adding or removing products, updating tags, or releasing holds.

# Carrier Services

Carrier Services puts shipping configuration directly in the hands of the operator — whether as a 3PL setting up options for their merchants, or a brand managing their own WMS. Carriers and service levels can be tailored per warehouse, covering domestic, international, and regional options, while the system automatically selects the cheapest available rate among the enabled services.

### How It Works

Carrier Services are configured by managers or admins, not by operators. Access depends on how the WMS is deployed:

* Brands configure carriers under Shipping Settings in the Orders section.
* 3PLs allow merchants to configure their own carriers from the Shipping section within their merchant account.

Settings apply per warehouse, with carriers grouped into categories — Canada Domestic, International, U.S. Only, and Others. Managers simply select the carriers or service levels they want active.

If no carriers are selected, all available carriers are enabled by default, giving the system the full range of options when generating a label. By selecting specific carriers or services, managers limit label generation to only those choices, ensuring compliance with merchant agreements or internal preferences.

From there, the process is seamless for operators: they scan, press print, and the WMS generates the label automatically. When multiple services are enabled, the system compares them behind the scenes and applies the cheapest available option, delivering cost savings without slowing down the floor.

### How It Works

Order Automation is accessible either from the navigation search panel or within the Orders tab under Order Automation. The dashboard displays all existing automations at a glance, showing their name, triggers, conditions, actions, and whether they are active. From here, automations can be edited, activated, or deactivated as needed.

Creating a new automation follows a simple flow: **Trigger → Condition → Action.**

* **Triggers** define when the automation starts, such as when an order is created, updated, split, tagged, or marked problematic. Multiple triggers can be set to cover different scenarios.
* **Conditions** refine the logic by checking order details such as SKU quantity, postal code, ecommerce source, country, or weight. Multiple conditions can be chained together, passing or failing based on the outcome of the previous condition.
* **Actions** determine what happens once conditions are met. Options include putting the order on hold, selecting a carrier, prioritizing the order, splitting SKUs or bundles, canceling the order, or setting signature requirements.

With Order Automation, you can set rules that automatically assign the correct third-party integration whenever that client’s orders are created. * **SKU Splitting for Special Handling**\
  Certain products may need to be handled differently — for example, fragile goods or items that require additional checks before shipping. Automation allows you to detect these SKUs at the order level and automatically split them into a separate order. This ensures they receive the right care without slowing down the fulfillment of the rest of the order.
* **Order Prioritization**\
  High-priority items, such as those tagged “express” or “priority,” can automatically be pushed to the front of the queue and paired with the fastest carrier options. Instead of operators manually flagging these orders, the system enforces service levels instantly and consistently.
* **Promotional Campaigns**\
  During seasonal campaigns like Black Friday, automation can detect orders tagged with the promotion and apply specific rules: automatically select faster carriers or add a gift item to the shipment. This ensures promotions are executed exactly as promised, even under heavy volumes.
* **Channel-Specific Rules**\
  Orders from different sales channels often require different handling. For example, marketplace orders may need to be automatically assigned to a specific carrier or placed on hold until verified. Automations ensure every channel follows its own rules without operators constantly double-checking.

By chaining multiple conditions and actions together, you can design automations that manage both everyday order flows and exceptional cases with precision.

### Overview

Internal User Accounts allow warehouses to scale teams freely as operations grow. Operators, managers, and supervisors can each have their own login, making it easier to track individual activity and maintain accountability across the system. Language preferences ensure the platform remains accessible to multilingual teams, reducing training friction and supporting clear communication on the floor.

### How It Works

New accounts are created through the Admin section of the platform. A manager enters the user’s name, email, and preferred language, then chooses whether the account will be created as an Admin or a Merchant. Once created, the account becomes active immediately, with all actions tied to that user for full accountability.

For Admin accounts, permissions must be configured to define which WMS capabilities they can access — from inventory controls to reporting tools. This ensures each internal user has the level of visibility and control appropriate to their role.

In 3PL environments, the “Create Admin” option is available to set up operations accounts across multiple client warehouses. In single-brand WMS deployments, this option is hidden to keep the setup simple, since multi-client functionality is not required.

### How It Works

Business Info is managed directly in the **Settings** menu under *Manage Profile*. From there, managers enter the company’s core details: name, billing and support phone numbers, billing emails, federal and provincial tax numbers, and company address. Once saved, the WMS uses this profile automatically whenever it generates an invoice, sends a shopper communication, or creates a tracking email.

Because the system pulls information directly from the profile, every outbound document carries the correct company identity without additional effort. A change made once — like updating a phone number or tax ID — cascades across all future invoices and communications, ensuring accuracy and consistency without repetitive updates.
